FUTURE ABSORBENT + OLEOPHILIC LINER CONCEPT
Clear on deck.
Clear at handover.
The bag carries the waste stream, vessel and date information directly with it—from segregation onboard to delivery ashore.
PLASTICS BAG · DESIGN CONCEPT
VESSEL + DATE IDENTIFICATIONImmediate identification
Colour, large wording and pictograms help crew and shore personnel identify each waste stream quickly.
Information travels with the bag
Vessel and date fields support a clearer handover as European shore facilities request more detailed waste information.
Simpler documentation
Clear segregation and labelling support MARPOL waste receipts and accurate Garbage Record Book entries.
ABSORBENT LINER CONCEPTAbsorption,
built into the bag.
A future integrated absorbent base is being explored to help contain incidental liquids, reduce “bin juice” and support cleaner removal.
The absorbent and oleophilic liner concept remains in development. Materials, capacity and performance claims will be confirmed only after prototyping and validated testing.
Designed by someone
who knows what failure costs.
Sure Seal began with marine engineer William Knapper and a simple frustration: an everyday product used everywhere, but too often accepted as “good enough”.
The aim is practical: a cleaner fit, a stronger body, a better seal and a product system that works harder at home and at sea.
